چکیده

Conformance has been used as a correctness criterion for asynchronous circuits. Although the definition of conformance does not directly lend itself for implementation in a verification procedure, there is an equivalent property which can be implemented effectively: in the case of untimed systems, conformance of an implementation to a specification is equivalent to the failure-freeness between the implementation and the mirror of the specification. For bounded-delay systems, in general this property does not hold. In this paper, we define various notions of failure and examine whether the above propery holds or not. We then discuss alternative effective algorithms for conformance checking of timed system.

Quantifying Conformance using the Skorokhod Metric (full version)

The conformance testing problem for dynamical systems asks, given two dynamical models (e.g., as Simulink diagrams), whether their behaviors are “close” to each other. In the semi-formal approach to conformance testing, the two systems are simulated on a large set of tests, and a metric, defined on pairs of real-valued, real-timed trajectories, is used to determine a lower bound on the distance...

Timed Logic Conformance and Its Application

Timed Logic Conformance (TLC) is a bisimulation-style partial order relationship deened over the statespace of Timed Safety Automata (TSA) with real-valued clocks. In contrast to timed simulation, Calculus of Timed Reene-ment (CTR), and Time-Abstracted bisimulation, TLC de-nes when one system is an acceptable implementation of another by asymmetric bisimulation-style requirements for speciicati...

Distinguing Non-deterministic Timed Finite State Machines

Conformance testing with the guaranteed fault coverage is based on distinguishing faulty system implementations from the corresponding system specification. We consider timed systems modeled by timed possibly nondeterministic finite state machines (TFSMs) and propose algorithms for distinguishing two TFSMs. In particular, we present a preset algorithm for separating two separable TFSMs and an a...

Conformance Checking of Real-Time Models - Symbolic Execution vs. Bounded Model Checking

Abstract. We compare conformance checking based on symbolic execution to conformance checking via bounded model checking. The application context is fault-based test case generation, focusing on realtime faults. The existing bounded model checking approach is performed on timed automata. It supports time-relevant mutation operators and a preprocessing functionality for removing silent transitio...

Hybrid Input-Output Conformance and Test Generation

Input-output conformance test theory for discrete systems has established itself in research and industry already. A couple of years ago also input-output conformance test theories for timed systems were defined. The next step is to develop conformance test theory for hybrid systems as well. In this report we present a conformance relation for model-based testing of hybrid systems and we formal...
